Verse 1

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

Transliteration tabbat yadā abī lahabin watabba

Yoruba Ọwọ́ Abu-Lahab méjèèjì ti ṣòfò. Òun náà sì ṣòfò.

Verse 2

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

Transliteration mā aghnā ʿanhu māluhu wamā kasaba

Yoruba Àwọn dúkìá rẹ̀ àti ohun tí ó ṣe níṣẹ́ (ìyẹn, àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀) kò sì níí rọ̀ ọ́ lọ́rọ̀ (níbi ìyà).

Verse 3

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

Transliteration sayaṣlā nāran dhāta lahabin

Yoruba Ó sì máa wọ inú Iná eléjò fòfò.

Verse 4

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ

Transliteration wa-im'ra-atuhu ḥammālata l-ḥaṭabi

Yoruba Àti ìyàwó rẹ̀, aláàárù-igi-ìṣẹ́pẹ́ ẹlẹ́gùn-ún, (ó máa wọná).

Verse 5

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ

Transliteration fī jīdihā ḥablun min masadin

Yoruba Igbà-ọ̀pẹ pọ̀npọ̀nràn máa wà ní ọrùn rẹ̀ (nínú Iná).
