Verse 1

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

Transliteration tabbat yadā abī lahabin watabba

Kinyarwanda Amaboko yombi ya Abu Lahab arakorama (kubera ko yayakoreshaga abangamira Intumwa y’Imana), ndetse na we ubwe azorame.

Verse 2

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

Transliteration mā aghnā ʿanhu māluhu wamā kasaba

Kinyarwanda Umutungo we n’urubyaro rwe nta cyo bizamumarira.

Verse 3

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

Transliteration sayaṣlā nāran dhāta lahabin

Kinyarwanda Azahira mu muriro ugurumana,

Verse 4

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ

Transliteration wa-im'ra-atuhu ḥammālata l-ḥaṭabi

Kinyarwanda Ndetse n’umugore we watwaraga ibiti (by’amahwa yajyaga atega mu nzira Intumwa y’Imana yanyuragamo).

Verse 5

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ

Transliteration fī jīdihā ḥablun min masadin

Kinyarwanda Mu ijosi rye (uwo mugore) hazaba hari umurunga wo mu muriro.
