Verse 1

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ

Transliteration alam tara kayfa faʿala rabbuka bi-aṣḥābi l-fīli

Dutch Is het jou dan nog niet ter ore gekomen hoe jouw Heer met de metgezellen van de olifanten heeft gehandeld?

Verse 2

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ

Transliteration alam yajʿal kaydahum fī taḍlīlin

Dutch Heeft Hij hun plan (om de Ka’ba te vernietigen) dan niet verijdeld?

Verse 3

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

Transliteration wa-arsala ʿalayhim ṭayran abābīla

Verse 4

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ

Transliteration tarmīhim biḥijāratin min sijjīlin

Verse 5

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ

Transliteration fajaʿalahum kaʿaṣfin makūlin
